June 9th, 2000 – I had brain surgery to remove an oligodendroglioma from my left temporal lobe. I found out one week before I had it. Before my 5:00 am surgery my surgeon had the Champlain come in for a prayer, and that’s when I learned that I had a 50/50 chance of making it out of the surgery.
Eighteen years later I still have trouble with words and have a serious problem with short term memory. I don’t remember things from yesterday, but I love each day and stay positive.

My motto is: Enjoy each day, you never know what tomorrow could bring. ❤️
