A Woman of Faith
Zory
I was living a normal life. My only health concern; migraines. On a Sunday night in August 2006 I started feeling the aura. I had the worst migraine ever, four days. I was not taking medication. But this time I decided to go to my doctor. After explaining that the symptoms were rare; burning sensation, heart burn, my stomach also burning…such a mess. I had right there at my doctors, an electrocardiogram. After it, the doctor said: tomorrow you are going to have a CT Scan. I will give you a note to bring to work. Next day, I went to the “radiology center.” By 11:00 a.m. an assistant at my doctors was calling me. The doctor wants to see you at 2:00 p.m. today, she said. It was very strange, they wanted to discuss my test with me. I went. The doctor and a doctor intern said: you have a brain tumor. Tomorrow you are having an MRI and Tuesday you will see a neurosurgeon. I did. All recommendations from the doctor, I followed. Tuesday came, I went to the neurosurgeon. He showed me the MRI results and he said; you need surgery. Two weeks after, I had my surgery. Tumor was removed. I still have my migraines, the pain is absolutely bad. It takes my energy. I have a big scar in my head. My vision is also bad. My face left side is now different. But I am alive. I thank my Lord because he gave me an opportunity. I bless you all and wish the best for those who have problems, have faith.
