My Glioblastoma

Published on June 11, 2021 in Share Your Story

On March 6, 2021, I was working as a pharmacy technician at Ingles, as I have done for the past 8 years. Suddenly my left leg felt like someone dumped concrete inside it. Then my left arm dropped and became unusable.

My husband picked me up I went to my chiropractor thinking it was my back out of whack. My chiropractor could not help and suggested I see my doctor. The next day I started falling and my husband took me to the ER. Nurses thought I presented as a stroke victim but I never lost my language.

A CT and MRI with contrast revealed a huge tumor, I was ambulanced to Mission hospital in Asheville and had brain surgery and resection March 10th.

I am halfway through my chemotherapy and radiation treatments and neck deep in paperwork from insurance bills.

In this fight 💪 to win it.
