National Brain Tumor Society Statement on Senator John McCain

Today, Senator John McCain and his family announced that the senator will forgo additional anti-cancer treatment for glioblastoma, which he was diagnosed with in the summer of 2017. National Brain Tumor Society issued the following statement:

“National Brain Tumor Society empathizes with Senator John McCain, and his entire family, on the difficult decision he’s made to forgo further treatment for glioblastoma. Members of the brain tumor community understand more than most the many factors and considerations that have led to this decision. We wish the senator and his loved ones comfort and community during the days ahead.”
