How I survive Benign Brain Surgery–after 42 years

Published on May 15, 2018 in Share Your Story

During October 1976, I entered the Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. The Intern called my wife living in the Bahamas said that an operation had to be performed the following morning and I had a 50% chance to either live or die. After the 6 hour operation, I went into the intensive care unit where tubes were located all over my body. After a number of days, I was released and sent home. My eyes were not coordinating and a black patch had to be placed over the right eye.

It has been over 40 years yet, I am still having challenges with my balance. My left leg is weak and I struggle to walk a straight line.

I am seeing a the same Neurologist who write out prescriptions for time to time. Prayer is the answer for my survival.
