On May 19, 2015, I experienced the worst headache I have ever had. It felt as if an explosion had went off in my head. Then came a strange feeling as if I was floating out of my body and shacking uncontrollably, later to discover it was a seizure. After many doctor visits and an overnight stay in the hospital test revealed an “Intruder” yes! That’s exactly what I call it. When the doctor told me and my husband that the CT scan showed a brain tumor, I went numb. I was referred to Johns Hopkins where I underwent a craniotomy on July 15, 2015, to remove two Meningioma tumors which after the pathology report came back as an Atypical Grade II. I found the recovery process to be very challenging but with the help of family and friends I made it through. I went back to work on October 1, 2016, I had a MRI in Septmber and it looked good so back to work I went. I still have days that I find challenging but I press on. I will be getting another MRI in March 2016 and I pray that no more unwelcome guest return.
