Federal Funding Opportunities
The United States government provides grant-funding opportunities through multiple agencies, departments, and institutions. While, most brain tumor researchers are familiar with opportunities through the National Cancer Institute (NCI), fewer are familiar with the other opportunities through the National Institutes of Health (NIH) – like the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) – or through the Department of Defense’s (DoD) Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program, which includes the Peer Review Cancer Research Program (PRCRP). National Brain Tumor Society and our community of brain tumor advocates work diligently to ensure these programs continue and grow every year.
