Survivor

I am a 23 year brain tumor survivor. I had surgery at the age of seven. As an after effect, I have short term memory loss. I repeated first grade and had to learn to read again. I am now a special education teacher working with students with severe disabilities. I feel that my own experience had a huge influence on my career.
