The Virginia Brain Tumor Community will come together on October 25, 2026 for a 5K Walk/Run to raise awareness and funds to support the needs of patients with brain tumors and their families. The Virginia Brain Tumor Walk & Race is a family-friendly event for all ages! Join us for a morning of celebration, remembrance and hope. Your community is here. Let’s discover a cure, together.
Youth registration options are 12 and under. In-person participation options include an event t-shirt if you register prior to September 25, 2026. Event t-shirts are not guaranteed to late registrants. Registration fees will increase one month prior to the event and during event week.
Registration Fees:
Adult Walker – $25
Adult Runner – $30
Youth Walker (12 and under) – $5
Youth Timed Runner (12 and under) – $10
Virtual Participant – FREE registration for those who are unable to attend the event in person. Event t-shirts will be mailed to all virtual participants who raise $75 or more by September 25, 2026. T-shirts will arrive to you by event day. Late registrants will not qualify for an event t-shirt.
Volunteer – FREE
Volunteers are essential to the Virginia Brain Tumor Walk & Race! Thank you for your dedication to our shared mission. Groups, schools, community organizations, families and individuals are all welcome to volunteer. Need student community service hours? Our event is perfect!

12:15pm: Closing ceremony with runner awards in the following categories: Top 3 adult male, female and non-binary runners, top 3 youth runners, and top 3 survivor runners
The event will be rain or shine! Be sure to visit our activity tents and sponsors throughout the morning. For little ones, stop by our Kids Tent for fun activities. Light refreshments and water will be available for all participants.
Parking: Bryan Park as on-site parking available for all participants. Follow the event directional signage once entering the park. We will have parking attendants onsite as well to help you find a spot.
Honor and Celebrate Tent: Visit the Honor and Celebrate Tent to honor and recognize survivors and to also remember friends and family who may have passed. Please bring submissions (photos, letters, poems, essays, mementos, etc.) on the day of the event. You may place your contribution in the tent at that time. Materials to post will be provided.

Team Fundraising Prize:
Raise $1,500 as a team by Monday, October 19, at 9 am, and receive a Mission Mile Sign with your loved one’s name and photo.
The Top 5 Teams by Friday, October 23, at noon, will will be rewarded their own 10×10 team tent for event day.
