Breakthroughs Ahead: Holly Gibbons

Published on December 12, 2022 in Patient, Stories

A woman with red hair wears a plaid jacket and stands next to a man in a Phillies jersey and a backwards hat.

Three months after delivering a baby boy, Holly returned to the same hospital where they discovered a brain tumor — grade 3 anaplastic astrocytoma. This 2016 diagnosis led her family to join National Brain Tumor Society events like Race for Hope DC and Head to the Hill to fundraise and advocate for increased funding for brain tumor research that drives #BreakthroughsAhead.
