When a young person is diagnosed with a brain tumor or a sibling or parent has been diagnosed, it can have a profound impact on the entire family. Resources are available to help children, adolescents, young adults, and their families navigate the emotional and practical challenges that arise from a brain tumor diagnosis.


Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation’s SuperSibs Program
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation’s SuperSibs Program provides age-appropriate mailings, activities, coping skills, and empowerment to siblings impacted by childhood cancer.

Bright Spot Network
Bright Spot Network provides support to survivors who are doing the unimaginable task of raising small children while navigating cancer. They offer free age-appropriate books, art projects, resources, and support groups.

Camp Kesem
Camp Kesem provides a free, week-long overnight summer camp experience designed for children and adolescents who are impacted by a parent’s cancer.

Camp Mak-A-Dream
Camp Mak-A-Dream (Children’s Oncology Camp Foundation) provides a camp experience in Montana for kids and families impacted by cancer, caregiver retreats, and a Heads Up Conference for people impacted by brain tumors.

Coalition Against Childhood Cancer
Coalition Against Childhood Cancer (CAC2) provides eduation to the childhood cancer community, support for survivors and families, and a searchable database of resources called the Hope Portal.

Courageous Parents Network
Courageous Parents Network provides education, guides for making informed decisions, and support for families and providers caring for children with serious illnesses.

The Children’s Treehouse Foundation
The Children’s Treehouse Foundation provides psychosocial intervention programming for children whose parents have cancer and family support.

Together by St. Jude
Together by St. Jude is an online educational resource and community for anyone impacted by childhood cancer.

Cactus Cancer Society, formerly known as Lacuna Loft, provides online wellness programs, survivorship support, and resources to young adults affected by cancer.

Dear Jack Foundation
The Dear Jack Foundation provides one-on-one patient support and wellness programs for adolescents and young adults diagnosed with cancer.

Elephants and Tea
Elephants and Tea is a magazine that supports adolescent and young adult patients, survivors, and caregivers in knowing they are not alone in the face of cancer. “The Elephant in the room is cancer. Tea is the relief conversation provides.”

First Descents
First Descents provides outdoor adventures for young adults impacted by cancer and other serious health conditions.

Nicki Leach Foundation
