This past Saturday, the National Brain Tumor Society hit the New Hampshire Motor Speedway to watch Matt Tifft race in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Over the past two years, Matt has been a vocal brain tumor advocate, using his own survival story to urge Congress to support funding for brain tumor research.
That, in itself, is inspiring, but Matt has also used his position as a NASCAR driver to spread awareness to race fans by wrapping his Number 2 car with the National Brain Tumor Society’s logo, website homepage, and colors. This time around, he invited New England-based brain tumor survivors, advocates, and NBTS staff, to come out to the race and get a firsthand look behind-the-scenes of a NASCAR race.
