Remember back in the summer of 2014 when we asked you to fill out our Patient and Caregiver Survey? Well we sure do, as your participation in this survey has provided not only us, but also the FDA, researchers, clinician, and drug makers with very valuable information so that we can design brain tumor clinical trials and treatments that YOU WANT, YOU NEED, and YOU DESERVE.

As we continue to analyze the survey we will continue to share our findings with you. Our newest findings, summarized in the infographic below, revolve around the type of medical facilities most used by the brain tumor patients and families that answered our survey, as well as the treatments they received.

Thank you to everyone who took this survey and for helping inform stakeholders – doctors, researchers, drug makers, regulators, other patient nonprofits, patients, and caregivers – in brain tumor drug development. Here at the National Brain Tumor Society, we are committed to supporting the diverse needs of patients by moving research toward new and better treatments as well as fighting for policies that will improve the lives of all patients. Gaining a deeper understanding of where brain tumor patients are diagnosed, where they receive their treatments, and what types of treatments they receive is also critical to the drug development process.
